Serial Numbers
When we start your order, we assign a unique serial number to your furniture that's stamped right into the wood for future reference if it's ever needed.

Each piece of furniture we make is stamped with the Keystone Collections insignia. Then it's signed and dated by the craftsman who built it - the beginning of an heirloom, and for us - a mark of integrity and excellence.

Corner Braces
Frame chairs are constructed with triple tongue & grooved corner braces that are joined to the frame with specially-formulated glue and industrial strength lags to give you a lifetime of durability, service, and functionality.
Mortise & Tenon Construction
All of our frame chairs are made with mortise and tenon joinery, an age-old woodworking technique that is unsurpassed in its strength and durability.
Martin Lock
Our exclusive, innovative construction detail on the wedged tenons of our traditional chairs that helps to keep the joints tight. Another reason we can give a lifetime guarantee - even on chairs.

Screw Reinforcement
In addition to precision fitted parts, we take the extra step of inserting a screw through the joints of the legs and stretchers to help insure a lifetime of trouble-free, wobble-free use.
Finished Seat Bottoms
It's the only way we do it! In addition to the eye and feel appeal, finishing the seat bottoms helps to protect your chairs from the effects of seasonal changes, cracking and warping.
Leveled Legs
We know our chairs are on the level. After assembly, we trim the bottoms of the legs using an amazing, precision machine built by our founder.

Solid Hardwood Bent Parts
Our bent chair parts are made from solid hardwood using an intensive method of steam bending combined with extreme pressure to form the correct shape.

Corner Block Assembly
The corner block assemblies that hold the legs are mounted into the skirting using a special "v-groove" with glue and screws providing even more strength and rigidity.
Grain Matching
The subtle art of hand-matching wood for grain and color is a neglected and forgotten art in most of today’s furniture. We employ this painstaking process even on the skirting of select tables.
Skirting Support Blocks
Made from the same hardwood as the table, triangular support blocks are screwed at intervals along the inside of the table skirting for extra internal strength and rigidity.

Our unique dovetail key joinery holds the mitered skirting corners securely to prevent gapping even after many years of use.
Precision-Made Leaves
Our precision-made table leaves are interchangeable and pinned for perfect alignment. Place them in any order you choose. They'll fit beautifully.
Mortise & Tenon
For a rigid base with an appealing highlight, double pedestals are joined to a decorative center using mortise and tenon construction.

Geared Slides
Pedestal tables feature geared slides that enable one person to easily expand both table halves at one time when opening the table to add leaves.
Leg Levelers
Adjustable leg levelers on our table legs and feet compensate for uneven surfaces in your dining area.

Dovetail Joinery
Our six-piece drawers feature dovetailed joints front and back. We don't substitute lesser wood grades in our drawer boxes. For example, if you order a cherry buffet, the box sides will be hand-crafted of solid cherry.
Soft-Close Drawers
We use full-extension, heavy-duty, soft-close slides that are concealed beneath the drawer. They open completely to reveal all the contents inside, and the soft-close feature prevents the drawer from slamming shut.

It's the only way we do it! In addition to the eye and feel appeal, finishing the top and back helps to protect your hutch from the effects of seasonal changes, cracking and warping.

Dowel pins are used in the construction of our hutches to enhance their strength and durability. We don't have to use them, but it's this attention to detail that makes the Keystone Difference.

Solid Floating Panels
All our doors are made with solid wood "floating panels." Embedded soft rubber spacer balls in the frame of the door hold the panel in place, absorb vibrations and alleviate the potential for seasonal splits and cracks.

Dovetailed Slats
Finished hardwood bed slats fit snuggly into their corresponding metal slat holders to prevent them from shifting.
Heavy-Duty Mattress Support
Each bed is equipped with five finished hardwood slats and three integrated supports with adjustable levelers that provide strength and stability where it's needed most.
"No Rock" Bed Assembly
The in-line industrial lag bolt and dowel pin (not seen) assembly between the side rails, head board and foot board, makes for a "no rock" joint and quiet, peaceful sleep.

Our six-piece drawers feature dovetailed joints front and back. We don't substitute lesser wood grades in our drawer boxes. For example, if you order a cherry dresser, the box sides will be hand-crafted of solid cherry.
Excellent Drawer
Our optional five-piece excellent drawers feature dovetailed joints front and back. The box is crafted and finished in natural red oak while the integrated drawer front is crafted from the same wood species as the case.
Hidden Drawers
Additional storage is available on select styles with our felt-lined "hidden" drawers – uniquely integrated into the molding detail for a clean, uncluttered look.

Graduated Drawer Sizes
Although a bit more costly to create, our drawers gradually increase in size from top to bottom resulting in a truly stylish and sophisticated look.
Soft Close Drawers

Finished & Screwed Backs
